A list of my published work is available under Publications.

My specialist areas include: reviewing, tech writing (especially on the subjects of social media, copyright and the law) legal resources; the arts; and adoption.

I have also been blogging since 2004 as InformationOverlord

I am always looking for opportunities to write, so if you have a writing proposal that you think would fit my skills and interests get in touch and let’s talk.

Pitch me your idea

Since 2009 I have been involved in a music review podcast with Peter Cunnane. The format of the Come Taste the Band (CTTB) Music Podcast is simple enough: we take six new albums a month; listen to them a few times; then sit down and record our chat about what we thought.

I’ve been writing songs since I was about 11.

Back in my early 20s I recorded a few on a Tascam Portastudio 414 mkII 4 Track Cassette Recorder. A classic piece of kit. Fame and untold riches did not follow.

A few years ago started re-recording some of those old songs, as well as some newer material, using Reason (a digital audio workstation). I posted the finished songs, ideas, and collaborations as The Vineland on Soundcloud. New material is on its way.
